The Working Farm Project
£27,000 grant from the Arts Council England National Lottery project has been awarded to the Friends of Cressing Temple Barns. The money will support a “Working Farm” project, which will see antique farm machinery restored and displayed to the public. Alongside this will be educational materials explaining agricultural history since the Middle Ages, signage and videos.
Mark Durham, Essex County Council councillor responsible for arts, heritage, and culture, said: “We’re delighted to have received the funding for this wonderful project. It’s extremely important that projects like the ‘Working Farm’ receive funding as it allows us to celebrate and bring the past to life for current and future generations. We’d like to thank the Friends of Cressing Temple Barns for all their work helping to maintain this beautiful historic venue.”
